Is the SSH connection encrypted?

Yes. The connection travels via a secure WebSocket proxy (WSS) protected by TLS, and the SSH session itself is encrypted by the SSH protocol. The WSS → SSH tunnel guarantees double-layer encryption between your browser and the target server.

Are SSH passwords stored?

No. Connection history (host, port, user) is optionally saved in your browser's localStorage, but passwords are never kept. You must re-enter your password on each connection.

Can I use SSH keys instead of a password?

Accepted Answer

The current version supports password authentication only. Public key authentication (RSA, ECDSA, Ed25519) is a planned feature. For maximum security, disable password authentication on your production servers.
