What is a tracker?
A tracker is information stored on or read from your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. The best known is the cookie, a small text file, but the same rules apply to browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), pixels and advertising identifiers.
Some trackers are essential for the site to work and are exempt from consent. All others - non-exempt audience measurement and advertising - are only used after your explicit consent.

Requires consentVisit statistics hosted by ForenShield (page views, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, country deduced through Cloudflare without any third-party service). No data is sold or used for advertising.

Google AdSense and its consent platform
ForenShield funds part of its free tools with Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The AdSense script is present on the site's pages; advertising trackers are only set according to your choices.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent management platform (CMP) whenever personalized ads are served. ForenShield uses the CMP provided by Google, which complies with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2). In these countries, its message is the one shown to you: it details the purposes, lists the partners and lets you accept, reject or make granular choices.
If you decline, Google may show non-personalized ads based only on the page context, or "limited" ads without advertising trackers. Choices made in Google's message are automatically reflected in your ForenShield preferences.
Advertising partners and purposes
Google and the ad technology providers certified by Google may, depending on your choices, pursue the following purposes (IAB TCF terminology):
- Store and/or access information on a device
- Use limited data to select advertising
- Create profiles and use them to show personalized ads
- Measure advertising performance
- Understand audiences through statistics
- Develop and improve services
Some technical purposes - security, fraud prevention, debugging, technical delivery of ads - rely on the partners' legitimate interest; you can object to them from Google's message. The full, up-to-date list of partners, with their purposes and retention periods, is available at any time in that message ("Manage options" then "Partners").
Giving, changing or withdrawing consent
On your first visit
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message is shown. Elsewhere, or if that message cannot load (an ad blocker, for instance), the ForenShield banner asks you instead.
Accept, reject or customize
"Accept all" and "Reject all" are offered side by side. Closing the banner with "Continue without accepting" counts as a refusal. No consent-based tracker is used until you choose.
Change your mind anytime
Use "Manage cookies" in the footer, the "Cookie preferences" panel on this page, the "Google ad choices" button, or the privacy link Google displays at the bottom of pages in the EEA. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting and takes effect immediately.
Validity
Your ForenShield choice is kept for 6 months, with its date, then asked again. Choices stored by Google's CMP are kept for at most 13 months.
Legal basis, controller and rights
Data controller: Jérémy Gomes, sole trader (French micro-entrepreneur) trading as ForenShield, publisher of the site. Necessary trackers rely on the exemption in article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and on our legitimate interest in securing the service (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Audience measurement and advertising trackers rely on your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
For advertising, Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects through its trackers.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise them or for any question: dpo@forenshield.com.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
Transfers outside the European Union
Necessary trackers are served from our own domain. Some providers (Google, Cloudflare, Supabase) may process data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework when the provider is certified, or otherwise by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
